What will October weather feel like in Charleston?

October is one of our favorite times in Charleston, with warm days and pleasant evenings. Our wedding weekend includes a combination of indoor and outdoor events, so we suggest dressing in layers for comfort. We’ve planned with flexibility in mind and have backup options in place should weather play a role.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you arrive 15-30 minutes before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time.The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM.

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Our celebration will take place at Lowndes Grove, with an outdoor ceremony on the lawn followed by a reception in a covered indoor–outdoor setting. Guests may want to consider flat or block heels for comfort on the grass.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Welcome Party: The welcome party is at a rooftop bar, so attire is  casual/festive. Sundresses, sets, jumpsuits, button-downs, and slacks all work well.Wedding Day: The dress code for our wedding is formal/black tie optional attire. Fun colors and patterns are encouraged!

We adore your children, but our wedding events will be adults-only. We hope this gives everyone the chance to fully enjoy the celebration, and we’re grateful for your understanding.

We’re happy to accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies whenever possible. Please include any allergies or special requests in your RSVP so we can share them with our catering team.
